Detailed Description

1935 Lagonda M45R Le Mans Team car Replica

Originally, this lovely Lagonda M45R was a pillarless saloon. However, due to its poor condition, it underwent a transformation into a 'Le Mans' body style in 1987. Notably, it was meticulously restored and rebuilt by the late Peter Whenman, a Lagonda craftsman, at Vintage Coachworks in England. Whenman expertly handled the chassis and bodywork, while Julian Messent, the founder and owner of HCS, took care of the mechanical aspects.

Exterior:

The 'Le Mans' body, skillfully crafted by Pitney Coachbuilding (UK), is impeccably maintained and looks stunning. Its striking black color perfectly complements the body, making it an eye-catching vehicle.

Interior:

Inside, the car features blue leather upholstery in very good condition. The brushed aluminum dash housing the gauges adds a nice touch. Additionally, a separate backseat offers ample space for either passengers or luggage.

Owner History:

The original "Buff" UK Log book contains a complete owner history from the first registration up to the seventh change in 1949. All subsequent owners are known up to the current one.

Performance Upgrades:

Equipped with three carburetors and upgraded engine internals, this car delivers impressive speed. Furthermore, it features an exceptional HCS Dog Gearbox conversion , cleverly housed inside the original gearbox case, ensuring smooth and seamless gear changes. The car is in excellent overall condition and is prepared for various driving experiences, including rallies or even the daring Classic Le Mans. Before delivery, the car will undergo a comprehensive service, guaranteeing a fun and fast drive home!
